THE OPPORTUNITY

The Case for Daniels Pond / Bobby's Pond

Two deposits, two profiles

Bobby's Pond is a stack of five near-vertical sulphide bodies inside a 60-metre-wide alteration zone, traced from surface to at least 550 metres down. Daniels Pond is silver-rich and shallow, with most of its historical resource sitting within 150 metres of surface.

Both remain open

Bobby's Pond mineralization is still open. At Daniels Pond, drilling after the resource estimate extended mineralization deeper, and those results were never added to the resource table.

Part of a proven belt

The deposits share the Tulks Volcanic Belt with Canterra's Tulks East, Victoria, and other holdings. Historical studies even evaluated them together with nearby deposits as part of a central processing concept for the district.

GEOLOGY & MINERALIZATION

High-grade district

Both deposits sit in the Tulks Volcanic Belt of the Victoria Lake Supergroup, a corridor of ancient volcanic rocks that hosts multiple zinc-copper deposits across the Buchans District.

Exceptional grades

Historic drilling at Bobby's Pond returned 11.0 metres grading 7.71% zinc and 1.1% copper. Daniels Pond stands out for its precious metals, with historical indicated grades of 101.4 g/t silver and 0.60 g/t gold alongside 5.1% zinc.

Two deposit shapes

Bobby's Pond is a stack of five near-vertical lenses inside a 60-metre-wide alteration zone, traced from surface to at least 550 metres down. Daniels Pond forms two steeply dipping lobes with a combined strike length of about 1,100 metres, mostly near surface.

Modern Exploration

Canterra sampled archived drill core from both deposits in 2024 and is now ranking targets across the whole belt using geophysics, geochemistry and prospecting. The company is prioritizing areas with higher copper grades and larger metal inventories.

Current Program & Drilling

In February 2026, Canterra launched a fully funded 15,000-metre discovery program across its Newfoundland projects, with up to 5,000 metres allocated to its Victoria Lake Supergroup portfolio.

Ranking the belt

Canterra is comparing Bobby's Pond, Daniels Pond and its other belt deposits on copper grade, contained metal and target quality. The ranking sets priorities for 2026 prospecting, geophysics and targeted diamond drilling.

Depth potential at Bobby's Pond

Four of the deposit's five lenses were described as open at depth. Drilling in 2007 cut copper-rich sulphides at roughly 380 metres vertical depth, pushing known mineralization about 90 metres deeper than earlier holes.

Below the shallow resource

Most of the historical resource sits within 150 metres of surface, shallow enough that earlier operators studied open-pit concepts. Later drilling extended mineralization below that, and 1,100 metres of strike remains to follow up.
